MAYOR GOMEZ INVITES EVERYBODY TO JOIN IN THE FUN

There are so many interesting and exciting things to do and see when you visit Hinunangan.

We would like to suggest that you take a boat trip to see the white coral Island of San Pablo and San Pedro.
Plan to have a picnic lunch when you hire a local "banca" for your trip. The boatman will take you around the Islands where you can see coloured fish, corals and on one of the Islands it is rumoured that you can see the remains of a world war II aircraft still visible.
These Islands are pristine examples of coral formations and the local inhabitants would give you a very warm "Mabuhay".
How about exploring the Dona Marta Caves in the An-An mountains?. The access is simple just off the Tahusan Beach.
When you see the Tahusan Beach you will wonder how it is that this beautiful golden beach with its turquoise Pacific waters has not been discovered prior to six years ago.
The sand is perfect for sun bathing on the beach and its  swimming (due to its shallow slope),also  sand castle building, snorkelling, volleyball, skim boarding, shell hunting, walking ( 5 kilometers long), a perfect paradise of tranquility.

Suba Diving is not yet available, but plans are already in the works. There must be a lot of interesting wrecks to explore out there in Leyte Gulf, left behind after World War II.
Check with some of the older local folks, who have many interesting tales to tell of events that happened during the foreign occupation.

Anyone interested in the History of the greatest Naval Battle of World War II and all those folks who love exploring hidden wrecks, whilst Scuba Diving, will enjoy this fascinating story below, that happened right on our front door, in the Leyte Gulf
